Celebrations are raging in the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf camp as unofficial results from the by-election in 20 Punjab constituencies show that PTI, under the leadership of former prime minister Imran Khan, won the by-elections by the vote of the people. The preliminary results show that the PTI, which was led by the former PM, won 15 seats while the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz could only claim four. Unified candidates also won the victory.

The polling started at 8 am and ended at 5 pm. However, in some districts, polling was stopped because of clashes. On May 23, the Election Commission of Pakistan(ECP) “deserted” 25 PTI dissident lawmakers who voted against Hamza Shahbaz, the Punjab chief minister. Five lawmakers were elected to reserve seats for women or minorities.

Final Result Election 2022 Punjab

According to the directive of the Lahore High Court, the PTI is in a strong position for winning the recount of votes for the Punjab chief Minister Election on July 22, in accordance with its directive. This will allow the PTI to defeat Hamza Shahbaz from the PML-N.

PP-7 Rawalpindi; PP-8 Khushab; PP-9 Jhang; PP-10 Sheikhupura; PP-90 Bhakkar; PP-163; PP-173 Lahore; PP-223 Sahiwal; PP-217 Multan; PP-228 Lodhran; PP-237 Bahawalnagar; PP-272,273 Muzaffargarh; PP-282 Layyah; PP-288 Dera Ghazi Khan There were 4.57 million registered voters and 2.46 million eligible women who could vote in the by-polls. There were 3140 polling stations across 20 constituencies, with 700 male, 731 female, and 1700 combined stations. For the by-polls, a total of 9,562 booths were set up.

Bye Election in Punjab Pakistan

On Sunday night, the PTI camp was full of celebrations as early results from the 20-seat by-election in Punjab suggested that the PTI had defeated the PML-N in their race to retake Punjab.

Even though they lost, the PMLN displayed grace. Vice president Maryam Naz exhorted the party to “bend before people’s decision” in accepting the results “wholly.”

ECP Result 2022

The ECP had designated 1204 polling stations as sensitive and 696 high-sensitive. Also, sensitive polling stations in Multan and Lahore were declared. Saeed Gul, Provincial Election Commissioner, had stated that the Election Commission was neutral and denied any allegations. They were following the Constitution and law.

PP:7 Rawalpindi

Raja Sagheer Ahmad, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), candidate for Raja Sagheer Ahmad won a victory with 68.906 votes. Col M Shabbir Awan, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf candidate (PTI), secured 68.857 votes to remain second.

PP:83 Khushab

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), candidate Hassan Aslam Malik won a victory with 48,475 votes, while Independent candidate Asif Malik Bha could get 41,752 votes.

PP:90 Bhakkar

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI candidate Irfan Ullah Niazi won with 68,982 votes. He was followed by Saeed Akbar Nawani, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz candidate (PML-N), who managed 59,856 votes.

PP:97 Faisalabad

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI candidate Ali Afzal Sahi won a victory with 66,672 votes, while Muhammad Ajmal Cheema, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz candidate (PML-N), received 54,077 votes.

PP:125 Jhang

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI candidate Mian Azam Chela won with 82,382 votes, while Faisal Hayat Jaboana, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz candidate (PML-N), secured 52,178 votes.

PP:127 Jhang

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI candidate Mehar Nawaz Borwana won with 69,986 votes, while Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz candidate Mehar Aslam Bhawana got 46,825 votes.

PP:140 Sheikhupura

Khurram Shahzad Virk, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf candidate (PTI), won with 49,734 votes, while Mian Khalid Mehmood, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz candidate (PML-N), secured 6,546 votes.

PP:158 Lahore

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI candidate Mian Akram Usman won a victory with 37,463 votes. Rana Ahsan Sharafat (PML-N candidate) received 31,906 votes.

PP:167 Lahore

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI candidate Shabbir Ahmed Gujjar won with 40,206 votes. Nazir Ahmed Chohan, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz candidate (PML-N), received 26,535 votes.

PP:168 Lahore

Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), candidate Malik Asad Khokhar won a victory with 26,174 votes, while Nawaz Awan, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf candidate (PTI), secured 15,719 votes.

PP:170 Lahore

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI candidate Malik Zaheer Abbas won a victory with 23,969 votes, while Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz candidate Muhammad Amin Zulqarnain (PML-N), has received 14,916 votes.

PP:202 Sahiwal

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI candidate Ghulam Sarwar won a victory with 61,989 votes. Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz candidate Malik Nauman Langrial was able to get 59,167 votes.

PP:217 Multan

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI candidate Makhdoom Zain Qureshi won a victory with 46,427 votes, while Muhammad Salman Naeem, his opponent in Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz, could only get 40,285.

PP:224 Lodhran

Amir Iqbal Shah, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf candidate (PTI), won a victory with 69,625 votes. Zawar Hussain Wahraich, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz candidate (PML-N), secured 55,748 votes.

PP:228 Lodhran

Rafi Uddin Bukhari, an independent candidate, won 42,719 votes. Izzat Javaid, a Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf candidate (PTI), was able to secure 34,635 votes.

PP:237 Bahawalnagar

Fida Hussain Wattoo, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), was the winner of the election with 61,248 votes. Syed Aftab Raza (PTI), was the only candidate for Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf. He could get 25,227 votes.

PP:272 Muzaffargarh

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI candidate Moazzam Ali Jotoi won a victory with 49,823 votes, while Zehra Basit Bukhari, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz candidate (PML-N), received 42,995 votes.

PP:273 Muzaffargarh

Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), candidate Muhammad Sibtain Raza won with 52,631 votes, while Yasir Arfat jatoi, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf candidate (PTI), only managed 46,903.

PP:282 Layyah

Qasier Abbas Magsi, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), won with 43,922 votes. Muhammad Tahir Randhawa (PML-N), was the winner.

PP:288 Dera Ghazi Khan

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI candidate Saifuddin Khosa won a victory with 56,857 votes, while Abdul Qadir Khosa, his opponent, was elected as the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz candidate (PML-N). He has 33,254 votes.
